Ice Fishing Extravaganza Volunteering

2024 Volunteering

There were very warm temperatures that made less than ideal ice conditions. Brainerd Jaycees adapted the contest into a hybrid model across all the Brainerd Lakes. The Skatepark crew helped run an information booth on Gull Lake. Our group had a great time helping out the ice fishing contestants. Huge thanks to our volunteers!

2023 Volunteering

The crew went back for another round at the 2022 Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza. We all held down the tent at the Weigh-in Station. We weighed hundreds of fish and even got to see the huge winning fish run in! We all had a great time. Brainerd Jaycees donated $1,000 to the skatepark fund for our efforts!

2022 Volunteering

2022 Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza was a success thanks to our Lakes Area Skatepark volunteers! Our crew was out there all day on security duty. It was chilly, but everyone had a good time checking contestants in to the ice fishing contest! Because of our volunteer’s efforts Brainerd Jaycees donated $2,100 to the skatepark fund!
